Alan Brenner is a partner of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP and a member of the firm’s Corporate Department.  Mr. Brenner has been a partner of the firm since 1996.  Mr. Brenner practiced in the firm’s Hong Kong office from 1993 to 1997 and headed the firm’s Singapore office from 1997 to 2003. Mr. Brenner’s practice includes cross border capital raising, project finance, aircraft finance, foreign direct investment with a particular emphasis on transactions involving energy, transportation and other industrial assets. He has extensive experience in international project and corporate finance transactions and regularly advises financial institutions and sponsors in a broad range of financial transactions in the United States, Latin America, Asia and Australasia. 

Mr. Brenner received his A.B. from the University of Michigan in 1979 and his J.D., cum laude, from the Ohio State University College of Law in 1983 where he was an Articles Editor of the Ohio State Law Journal and elected a member of Phi Kappa Phi and the Order of the Coif.  He is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the American Bar Association and the International Bar Association.   Mr. Brenner has been included in Euromoney’s Guide to the World’s Leading Project Finance Lawyers.
