Edward Chung is a Partner in the Firm's Corporate Department, with broad experience in various mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance transactions. Mr. Chung is active in the Firm's private equity practice, where he has handled numerous transactions for The Blackstone Group and First Reserve Corporation. His transactions have included the representation of First Reserve in the sale of its portfolio company, Ohmstede Ltd., to EMCOR Group, Inc.; First Reserve in the sale of its portfolio company, Dresser, Inc., to an investor group led by Riverstone Holdings LLC; Information Services Group, Inc. in its acquisition of Technology Partners International; The Blackstone Group in its acquisition of New Skies Satellites N.V.; The Blackstone Group in its acquisition of Vanguard Health Systems, Inc.; Harcourt General in its acquisition by Reed Elsevier Plc; Conectiv in its acquisition by Potomic Electric Power Company; General Instrument Corporation in its acquisition by Motorola; Symbol Technologies in its acquisition of Telxon Corporation; and AC Nielsen and Nielsen Media Research in their acquisitions by VNU N.V.

Mr. Chung joined the Firm in 1992 and was elected a partner in 2000. He received an A.B. from Harvard College in 1988 and a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1992.
