Mark Thompson is a Partner at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in the Firm’s Bankruptcy practice, where he concentrates on business reorganizations, acquisitions of troubled companies, creditors’ rights and structured financing.

Mr. Thompson joined Simpson Thacher in 1982 and became partner in 1991.  He received his B.A., summa cum laude, from Columbia University in 1979 and his J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1982.  He has practiced full time in the Bankruptcy Department since 1986.
