Peter Malloy is a Partner in the Firm's Corporate Department. Peter's practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions and other business combination and corporate finance transactions, in addition to advising clients on corporate and securities law matters. He has represented Time Warner Inc., its subsidiary AOL LLC and its European affiliate AOL Europe. His work for these clients has included representing AOL in its merger with Time Warner; representing AOL and its affiliates in various restructuring transactions; representing AOL in over a dozen acquisitions and other transactions. Peter has also represented the Firm's private equity clients in M&A transactions, which have included Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., Hellman & Friedman, Silver Lake and The Invus Group, among others. Peter’s other clients include Accenture Ltd., The Nielsen Company B.V., Ford Motor Company, DoubleClick, Inc., CSL Limited, an Australian pharmaceutical company, and Linde A.G., a German industrial gasses company. Peter’s work also includes representation of special committees of boards of directors, including the special committees of Sotheby’s and Captaris, Inc. and the financial advisor to the special committee of Travelocity.com Inc. Peter has represented the Firm’s investment banking clients in their roles as financial advisors in M&A transactions, including the financial advisors for MCI, Inc. in its transaction with Verizon Communications Corp., for Sprint Nextel in its transaction with Nextel Partners and for The Gillette Company in its transaction with The Procter & Gamble Company.
Mr. Malloy was elected as a partner of the Firm in 2000. He received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University in 1989 and received a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law in 1992, where he earned High Honors, was elected to Order of the Coif and served as Managing Editor of the Computer and Technology Law Journal. Following law school, Mr. Malloy clerked for the Hon. Ed Carnes of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in Montgomery, Alabama.
